English Premier League

Saturday, 31st January, 15:00 UK Time

Last weekend, Tottenham played in a match which was inevitably decided by a late goal in a 2-1 scoreline, but this time around they were on the receiving of a defeat rather than the other way around. Spurs supporters may have seen the F.A. Cup as a genuine chance of silverware this season, but those hopes were dashed by a last minute goal helped by a catastrophic piece of goalkeeping by Michel Vorm.

West Bromwich Albion enjoyed a 2-1 victory of their own, at near neighbours Birmingham City, and they look to be a tougher prospect for the opposition now that Tony Pulis has taken over The Hawthorns hot seat. Many Baggies fans will relish an opportunity to see their rejuvenated side take on a team that harbours real ambitions of a place in Europe, but I have a feeling they will be disappointed by the time the final whistle sounds.

Spurs have a good balance about them these days, and you get the impression that they’re only maybe a couple of signings away from being a very good side. If they are to keep the pressure up on their nearest rivals, a win in the West Midlands is vital. Tottenham are at home to Arsenal a week later, and they will want to go into that match in a good frame of mind.

Tottenham Hotspur to win away to West Bromwich Albion. Grab them at 2.60.
