English Premier League

Saturday, 17th January, 17:30 UK Time

In most games this season, Chelsea have seemed like an efficient machine that simply bulldozes the opposition into submission. They may not always be as stylish as Arsenal, as exciting as Manchester City or as ready to gamble as Tottenham, but overall they still look to be the team to beat in the Premier League. If they lose, we generally tend to see it as something of a shock at the moment.

This week, The Blues travel to South Wales for a game that may not be as easy as many others they have faced in recent weeks. Swansea are a good side, especially when they are playing at the Liberty Stadium, but they will have to be at the top of their game to get anything from a game like this. Unfortunately, to be at the top of their game they probably need to have Wilfried Bony starting up front.

Personally, I think French striker Bafétimbi Gomis is capable of being every bit as good as Bony, but this could take time. Whether he has enough about him to get anything from Chelsea’s mean defence remains to be seen. I can see this being a tight game, especially in the beginning, but in the end all I can see is three points for the London side.

Chelsea to win away to Swansea City. Grab them at 1.57.
