FA Cup

Saturday, 14th February, 17:30 UK Time

This is one of those games that really could go either way, but I’m going for a Liverpool win because I think manager Brendan Rodgers will put a strong side out for this tie. The Reds have a good chance of winning the cup this season, now that the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City have gone out, so you can expect to see the likes of Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge playing a major role.

Crystal Palace have improved greatly since the arrival of new boss Alan Pardew, and you get the feeling that any side will have to play at their best to beat The Eagles at the moment. Selhurst Park is a difficult place to win at these days, but I can still see Liverpool getting through to the next round at the first attempt. If you love the F.A. Cup, this could be an excellent game to watch.

Plenty of Liverpool fans will be disappointed by their side’s performances in many games this campaign, but they shouldn’t be overly surprised, given the long absence of Sturridge and the sale of talismanic people-biter Luis Suarez. In the summer, the Merseyside club will no doubt add to the squad, so it will be interesting to see what they’re like next season.

Liverpool to win away to Crystal Palace. Grab them at 2.10.
