French Ligue 1
Who: Paris Saint-Germain v Monaco
When: Sunday 29th January, 20.00 UK time
Live on: BT Sport 1

Both teams were involved in semi-final action in this season’s Coupe de la Ligue and now PSG host Monaco at Parc des Princes with important Ligue 1 points at stake.

Just three points separate third placed PSG from leaders Monaco in the Ligue 1 table, and the Paris team prepared for this important clash by winning 4-1 at Bordeaux in a midweek Coupe de la Ligue tie to claim a sixth competitive victory. That goal in Western France was the first conceded by the team in six outings and they can be backed at 3.00 to claim victory via another clean sheet. PSG are also available at 1.62 for maintaining their 100% winning sequence this year.

Edinson Cavani netted twice in that victory in Bordeaux while also netting both goals in a 2-0 weekend win at Rennes with the Uruguayan striker quoted at 2.25 to find the net in a home victory plus 3.75 to be Last Goalscorer for the fourth time in a Ligue 1 game since mid-December.

Defender Thiago Silva has twice opened the scoring in cup-ties during 2017 and is offered at 17.00 to become First Goalscorer in this game whereas January signing Julian Draxler is available at 2.88 to claim his third competitive goal since moving to the club from Wolfsburg.

A goal scored by Radamel Falcao ensured that Monaco qualified for the final of the Coupe de la Ligue when Nancy were beaten 1-0 in midweek with the team from the principality now hoping to maintain their 100% start to the year in league action. Although Monaco were beaten 3-1 by Lyon at Stade Louis II during December when reduced to ten players during the first period, they are otherwise unbeaten in Ligue 1 since mid-October and have scored four times in each of their latest two away matches. Odds of 5.00 are being offered for Monaco winning in Paris plus 11.00 to repeat their 3-1 victory from the reverse fixture.

There has been no shortage of Ligue 1 goals scored by Monaco in recent months and they have netted four or more goals on five occasions since mid-November with Falcao netting seven league goals from the beginning of December onwards. The Colombian striker can be backed at 5.50 to net in an away victory plus 6.00 to be First goalscorer for the second time this week.

Meanwhile Bernardo Silva claimed a brace in the recent 4-1 win at Marseille and he is priced at 4.00 to feature on the score sheet with attacking midfielder Thomas Lemar quoted at 3.75 to score his fifth league goal inside three months.

At least three goals have been scored in each of Monaco’s six latest league fixtures and exactly 3 goals scored in this match is offered at 4.00. Over 3.5 goals is quoted at 2.62 while PSG and Monaco are priced at 3.75 and 7.00 respectively for one goal winning margins. A 'Yes' for Both Teams To Score can be backed at 1.67.
