Newcastle responded to a difficult week off the field by beating Derby last Saturday and now face a Wolves team aiming for a return to winning way after losing at Burton in their previous match.

Although Wolves have beaten two Premier League teams on away turf in the current FA Cup tournament, they have won just one of their latest four away games in league action but did claim victory in their only home game during 2017 when beating Aston Villa 1-0. Despite Wolves winning just one other game at Molineux since the beginning of October, odds of 3.50 are available for the team clinching three points on Saturday, and they can also be backed at 17.00 for a repeat of their 2-0 win at St James’ Park in the reverse fixture back in mid-September.

Helder Costa netted the second goal in that match and he has also opened the scoring on three occasions since mid-December, including last weekend, and he is offered at 11.00 to be First Goalscorer in this match besides being priced at 6.00 to net in a home victory.

Odds of 3.50 are also available for Dave Edwards to find the net with the long-serving forward netting in five league games from early December onwards while on-loan striker Andreas Weimann can be backed at 4.33 to follow his FA Cup goal at Liverpool by scoring against Newcastle.

Ahead of their visit to Molineux, Newcastle recaptured the winning formula in their previous game by beating Derby 1-0 at St James’ Park at the weekend, but that had followed a 2-2 home draw with QPR and a 3-0 cup defeat at Oxford. Yet the Magpies have won three of their latest four league games on the road and were considered unlucky losers in a 1-0 defeat at Blackburn. Odds of 2.20 are available for another win for the Magpies and a 2-1 victory, as per their recent winning scorelines at Brentford and Burton, is quoted at 9.50.

Dwight Gayle opened the scoring in both of those away wins and while he has been absent since suffering a hamstring injury at Brentford, the ex-Crystal Palace striker could return for this clash and is quoted at 2.00 to score a goal. On-loan winger Christian Atsu will be available after returning from African Nations Cup duty and he is offered at 12.00 to be Last Goalscorer for the third time in a Championship away game this season.

Matt Ritchie is also expected to feature and he has opened the scoring in two of the previous five Newcastle matches besides netting in three successive games, with odds of 9.00 offered on the Scottish international becoming First Goalscorer on Saturday plus 4.50 for netting in an away win.

Newcastle have scored twice in each of their six away victories since mid-October and are priced at 3.75 to net exactly 2 goals in this match. The Magpies are also available at 3.75 and 7.00 for one and two goal winning margins with Wolves offered at 4.50 to win by one clear goal. At least three goals have been scored in the latest four matches involving Wolves with 3 or more netted in this game quoted at 2.15.

Other Available Bets:

A draw is 3.30.
A 0-0 draw is 9.00.
